The Big Move Series

Just like Thanos, change is inevitable. We can run from it or try to hide from it but at the end of the day, it will arrive. But change in and of itself is not bad or evil. It's an opportunity for growth, renewal, and reinvigoration.

For most, switching from university to work or from one's academic career to actual industry work can often be daunting. Moreso currently where information though readily available may seem like a maze not so easy to traverse. As a university student myself preparing for the move has not been easy or in any way peaceful. Hence this series.

The aim of The Big Move Series, a two-part mini documentary, is to try to understand and show just how undergraduates and graduates are faring through this process. It is a documentation of how exciting and often more anxiety inducing it is to be released from the educational fold into the working folk.

Both episodes look at different students with varying backgrounds and areas of study. Part 1 focuses on soon to be graduates who are grappling with the idea of independence and all that it takes to pursue their career goals. Part 2 highlights graduates who have experience either in work or have decided to pursue a post-graduate degree.
